Tropical Storm Fay has now moved into Southwest Florida and although it was not a hurricane, there still was major water damage done from the storm. That is not good news for American Idol fans.

The water damage could put in jeopardy the American Idol Tour concerts in both Sunrise and Tampa, Florida. The tour is scheduled to run through Florida on Wednesday and Thursday nights.

The water damage was not as bad in South Florida and the concert scheduled for Wednesday night should go on as planned. They simply received bad weather in the form of rain flurries and light winds. There was some water damage from the storm, but it was minimal.

In Tampa, there is more likely a chance that the concert could be postponed. The good news for Idol fans in Tampa is that the storm hit today, so that gives the area two days to assess the water damage and get themselves ready for the concert.

Tropical Storm Fay cruised through the Keys late Monday and headed overnight towards Florida. The storm brought winds from 40 to 70 miles an hour and a lot of rain. The rain did the most damage bringing flooding and water damage to much of the area where the storm hit.
