New Gold Standard
Michael Phelps came to the Beijing, Olympics looking to become the greatest Olympian of all time. He has not even completed his stay and he has already accomplished what he came for.

Phelps broke the world record in the 200 Butterfly. The event has been his best throughout his career, and he once again continued his dominance. Now, there is nobody standing between him and being the best.

Phelps accomplished several things when he won the event just ten minutes ago. He became the Olympian with the most
gold medals of all time, yet he is not done in the pool for the day.

After the event, Phelps immediately went to the cool down pool to get ready for his next race. He did not even grant an interview for he had no time. He now will be looking to put his record out of reach as he continues his quest to win gold in all eight races he will enter.

In addition to winning gold and breaking gold medal records, Phelps is also on the verge of breaking the record for most all time world records. His next event will be the 4x200 Free Relay.
