Terry Fator Signed Deal With The Mirage After Winning Last Year
If Simon Cowell thought enough of the show to put his name on it, it must be somewhat entertaining. America's Got Talent returns to NBC tonight and is trying to build on the summer success it has had for the past two years.
Cowell is the executive producer of the show, which features three judges similar to what Cowell enjoys on American Idol. Piers Morgan plays the role of obnoxious Brit, with Sharon Osbourne filling Paula Abdul's shoes for the summer. David Hasselhoff is an interesting choice to copy Randy Jackson, but he works well in his role.
The show itself is a hilarious ride through many different forms of talent. Jugglers, ventriloquists, dancers, and singers are just the beginning of the outrageous acts that will be auditioning.
The show also does a tremendous job of keeping themselves as close to amateur as possible. There is no age restrictions, leaving anyone who thinks they have talent with the opportunity to try out.
Once the show gets past the first few weeks and the audition stage, the true talent begins to rise. Last year's winner Terry Fator, won the $1 million grand prize and has since signed a deal with The Mirage in Las Vegas to display his ventriloquist act.
The show airs at 8:00 P.M. on NBC every Tuesday night, and is one of the must see shows of the summer.
