The reality television season is coming to a close, and last night, a champion was crowned on America's Next Top Model. A plus size model won the competition for the first time.

Whitney Thompson beat out the other two finalists, Fatima and Anya, to become the first plus size model to win the show. She was proud after the show that she did not change in order to win the competition.

"People always say you have to be stick skinny, emaciated and unhealthy and I've kind of stood up for (being full-figured) my whole life. I'm not going to lose fifty pounds. If someone asks me to do that, I'll go to another agency," said Whitney to the New York Post in an interview.

Thompson is from Atlantic Beach, Florida. Part of the reward for winning the America's Next Top Model competition is she receives an Elite modeling contract. She also will have a spread in Seventeen magazine.

While the Top Model competition came to a close, two other popular reality shows will wind up next week. American Idol and Dancing With The Stars will both crown their champions next week.
