Jimmy Fallon
It had been rumored for a while now that Jimmy Fallon would become the next host of 'Late Night'. On Monday, NBC confirmed the move.

O'Brien will be leaving his duties next year to take over for Jay Leno on 'The Tonight Show'. Many names had come up in consideration for the job opening, but in the end, it was Fallon who gets the first shot.

Fallon has already been a member of the NBC family. He starred
on 'Saturday Night Live' for six seasons. Highlights of his career on the show included being the co-host of 'Weekend Update'.

"It's going to be a grind, it's going to be hard, but I'm going to go at it full force. The fact that I'm stepping into David Letterman and Conan O'Brien's shoes is very exciting," said Fallon.

2009 is the target date for NBC to shuffle all of their hosts. The decision to do so was made back in 2004.
