PETA Wants Ferrell To Stop Acting With Wild Animals
Will Ferrell is use to acting like a wild animal in his movies. Most of Ferrell's parts involve him acting a little off color. His latest movie, Semi-Pro, starred Ferrell and a bear.
The bear that was in the movie attacked and killed a trainer last week in California. The attack has initiated PETA to ask Ferrell to stop acting with wild animals.
"We're hoping that this incident, sad as it is, will encourage Hollywood actors to take a stand against performing with animals, who want to be movie stars about as much as they want to be stuck in a cage for the rest of their lives. We're asking Will Ferrell to pledge never to act with wild animals again," said a spokesman for PETA.
Another celebrity has been extremely active with PETA. Pamela Anderson has campaigned many times against the use of animals in movies. In her latest movie, Superhero Movie, she refused to be in a scene with a trained Labrador.
People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals activists had already sent a letter to Ferrell when they found out that his new movie featured a grizzly bear. They have since followed up after the tragedy of last week.
