Miley Cyrus Singing With all the pressures that come along with being a teen idol, not often is the word sorry associated with any of these talents. Miley Cyrus has bucked that trend, however, and has apologized for inappropriate pictures that were taken of her.

Cyrus received criticism for photos that were circulating showing her exposing a green bra. Other photos were taken of her wearing nothing but a blanket wrapped around her chest. They were taken by renowned photographer Annie Leibovitz.

Now, Cyrus has admitted taking the photos might have been a bad idea. "For Vanity Fair, I was so honored and thrilled to work with Annie. I took part in a photo shoot that was supposed to be 'artistic', and now, seeing the photographs and reading the story, I feel so embarrassed. "I never intended for any of this to happen and I apologize to my fans who I care so deeply about," said Cyrus. "Most of all, I let myself down."

Vanity Fair is taking a lot of the heat from the photos that were taken for their magazine. Disney Channel bosses were particularly upset with the magazine, "a situation was created to deliberately manipulate a 15-year old in order to sell magazines."

While the Vanity Fair pictures were provocative, Cyrus also received criticism for the pictures in which she revealed her green bra, and for other shots of her sprawled across a boy's legs.
