Concert Delayed Three Hours Due To Bomb Threat
Bon Jovi was set to put on another show on their current tour on Saturday night in Sunrise, Florida. Something unexpected caused a stir before the concert was to begin. A bomb threat almost caused the concert's cancellation.
Before opening band Daughtry went on to open the show, everyone was evacuated from the arena. A bomb threat was the reason, and people stayed outside wondering what was going to happen.
As the concert goers waited, some patiently, some impatiently, police were called in and the arena was thoroughly searched. Nothing was found, and the threat turned into nothing more than a scare.
The concert ended up going on, however, it started three hours later. For a period of time, officials were wondering if it would have been better to just cancel the show.
"I came all the way from Boston to see them (Bon Jovi) play. If they would have canceled the show, I would have been upset. It would have ruined my vacation," said Brittany Spitzler, a longtime Bon Jovi fan. In the end, Spitzler was able to complete her mission and see her favorite band after all.
