Amy Winehouse Arrested Amy Winehouse was supposed to be cleaning herself up. The singer, who has been battling addiction problems, is now in trouble with the law and may join her boyfriend on the other side of the bars.

Winehouse was arrested in London on suspicion of assault, a day after denying the rumors. The charges stem from the other night, when Winehouse was out drinking at The Good Mixer public house in Camden.

The next day, the alleged victim filed a report, in which he claimed that the singer headbutted him. Police launched an investigation, and when Winehouse turned herself in to be questioned, she was arrested.

The British paper, The Sun, reported a detailed account of how Winehouse smoked drugs on the street, and punched another man.

A Scotland Yard spokesman told People, "I can confirm that a 24 year old woman has been arrested by appointment at a central London police station and is currently in custody."
