Ewan McGregor, known for his roles in 'Trainspotting' and the 'Star Wars' prequels, had an ill feeling about the moles found on his face. He wasted no time seeing a specialist about them.

Soon after the dermatologist examined the moles on McGregor's face, he was advised to have them removed. "It's better to be safe than sorry," the doctor stated.

Ewan was completely aware that because of his fare skin, he
was more susceptible to getting skin cancer. Spending a lot of time out in the sun didn't help his current situation either.

The surgery resulted in having a cancerous mole removed just below McGregor's right eye.

"It's all good now. But it was something that was best to be looked at and kept in check," the Scottish actor said.

McGregor was promoting his latest film during his cancer scare, the exotic thriller "Deception".
