Taylor Swift was writing music when she was in ninth grade. She claims she never would have guessed she would be writing a number one country music song.

That is what happened, however, when Swift wrote "Our Song" for a talent show in ninth grade. The singer has taken that song, and her growing popularity, and parlayed it into mega stardom in the world of country music.

On Monday night at the CMA's, swift took home two of the most coveted awards. She won for Overall Video of The Year, and she also took home the Top Female honors. Neither of which Swift would have ever expected.

"I
never thought it("Our Song") was going to be on an album. I never thought I'd get to record it. I never thought it would be a single. I never thought it would go No. 1, and I never thought it would win video of the year. I am absolutely taken aback and so, so incredibly, unbelievably, unbelievably grateful," she said backstage at the awards show.

Swift showed her child side throughout the night when she strolled around on stage barefoot. She claims to have told Faith Hill that her shoes were killing her, to which Hill responded by telling Swift to take them off. So she did, and in the process, she collected two major awards.
