Kellie Pickler might never have imagined that her life after American Idol would have led her to stardom. But that is exactly what has happened for Pickler, who walked away the big winner on this year's CMA's.

Pickler was one of the final twelve on last year's American Idol. She did not end up winning the competition, but the pressure and the experience prepared her for life as a superstar.

A superstar she has become. Country music held its annual award show on Monday night, and Pickler could not attend
the show. That did not stop her from winning awards. Three of them.

She won for Tearjerker Video, and Best Performance for her version of "I Wonder" on the 41st CMA's. She also won for Breakthrough Video. She was her usual self when speaking to reporters on a conference call from backstage.

"This is the first thing I've ever won. I'm here in this hotel room by myself. I feel like I should go out and run around the hotel," she said. Pickler was in Scottsdale, Arizona, where she had a previous engagement causing her to miss the CMA's.
