Marilyn Monroe has been romantically linked to former U.S. President John F. Kennedy. She was married to Yankees Hall of Famer Joe DiMaggio, and is considered by many to be one of the most fascinating people who ever lived.
A New York businessman is interested in protecting the late Monroe's privacy. That was his motivation for secretly buying a fifteen minute sex tape in which Monroe allegedly was caught on film performing oral sex on an unidentified man.
The tape sale was arranged by memorabilia collector Keya Morgan. "The gentleman who bought it said out of respect for Marilyn he's not going to make a joke of it and put it on the Internet and try to exploit her," said Morgan.
The businessman who bought the tape paid $1.5 million for it. Morgan had been working on a documentary about Monroe when he learned of the alleged tape. The son of an FBI informant led Morgan to it. The New York Post originally broke the story on Monday.
The male in the sex tape is not known, but Morgan claims that J. Edgar Hoover, the FBI Director at the time, tried his best to prove that his rival, Kennedy, was the man in the tape.
