Tiger Woods In The Hunt After First Day At Masters
Copyright PR Photos The Masters Golf Tournament in Augusta, Georgia, is where Tiger Woods has had many a memorable day. Something happens to Woods when he steps on this golf course at Augusta National.
This year, Woods has been so dominant that many people are picking him to win the grand slam of golf, meaning all four major tournaments.
"The way Tiger can dominate and intimidate, I think it is completely within reason that he could win all four majors this year," said golf fan, John Listron. Woods started his pursuit of the grand slam on Thursday.
After the first round of the play, Woods is four shots back of the opening day leader, Justin Rose.
"I played a lot better than my score indicates. I kept myself in the tournament. I'm right there," said Woods. Not exactly the confidence boost that his opponents were looking for.
As for Rose, he is no stranger to being the leader at the Masters after day one. This is the third straight time that Rose has led the tournament after the first eighteen holes.
Day two is set for Friday, and with the scores where they are, and the field all bunched together, there could be some interesting names that do not make the cut before the weekend.
