In 2003 Cynthia separated from her boyfriend of 15 years, Danny Mozes, the father of her children Samantha, 11, and Charles, 6. That same year she began a new and refreshing relationship with education activist, Christine Marinoni.

Monday, April 7, Nixon was honored with the Point Courage Award at the Point Foundation Benefit held in New York City. Point Foundation funds the brightest most deserving students that come from diverse educational fields, genders and gender identities, sexual orientations, racial backgrounds, economic circumstances and geography.

Fellow 'Sex and the City' girls, Sarah Jessica Parker, Kim Cattrall and Kristen Davis also attended the benefit to support their friend and to support the benefit and its cause.

The long anticipated 'Sex and the City' movie, starring Nixon and her TV series cast members, opens in theaters on May 30.
