New members of the Basketball Hall of Fame have been announced. The 2008 inductees are an impressive combination of players, owners, broadcasters, and coaches.

Pat Riley led the Los Angeles Lakers to several NBA titles. He turned around various franchises, and then won another title coaching the Miami Heat. He will be rewarded for his efforts by being inducted into the Hall of Fame.

Joining him will be probably the most recognizable voices in sports. Dick Vitale, a college basketball analyst for ESPN, has been
the voice people expect to hear on basketball broadcasts. Now, his voice will be part of an induction speech.

Two centers will also be inducted into the Hall. Patrick Ewing and Hakeem Olajuwon spent many years battling each other on the court. Now they will be teammates who were drafted into the Hall of Fame in the same year.

Others that will also be inducted are Detroit Pistons owner Bill Davidson, former Immaculata coach Cathy Rush, and former player Adrian Dantley. The ceremony will take place on September 5th in Springfield, Massachusetts.
